Firm Foundation Memorization Program – Details
Introduction
Here’s a note from the Elders at Mountain View about the Memorization Program.
The elders here at the Mountain View congregation want to encourage our youth and their parents to actively involve themselves in this Memory Program. We feel that our children need to be more familiar with the Word of God, so that as they face trials and temptations they will be able to call upon the scriptures in the same way Jesus did as He faced the devil in the wilderness. We want our young people to better develop their knowledge of the Scriptures so they will have it written on their hearts and minds. We also desire that our young people come to love the Scriptures, be filled with joy, and want to share it with others.
On the following pages is a list of the memory work that we have selected. When a block of the memory work is completed, the student will receive an award and be recognized in front of the congregation. Upon completion of the program, students will have extensive Bible study material to aide in their biblical studies.
The memorization program is broken into two main components, the information to be memorized (in booklet form), and an instruction sheet which details how the program is run. Keeping the two pieces separate allows us to change how we run the program, without having to change the booklet that everyone has.
