Mountain View Church of Christ is located near the center of Colorado Springs just north of downtown.

From downtown, go north on Nevada Ave to Fontanero St and turn right (east). Follow Fontanero St approximately 1 mile to N El Paso St and turn left (north). N El Paso St changes into Templeton Gap Rd after1 block. Follow Templeton Gap Rd approximately 1/2 mile to E La Salle St and turn right (east). Go one block and the church building is on your left.

From Academy Blvd, go west on Constitution Blvd until you can’t go any further. Turn left (south) on Paseo Rd and the entrance to the church parking lot is the first driveway on your right.

From I-25, take the Fillmore St exit. Go east on Fillmore St approximately 2 miles to Templeton Gap Rd and turn right (south). Go about 1/2 mile to E. La Salle St and turn left (east). Go one block and the church building is on the left. You can’t miss us.

The Beginning 

Mountain View Church of Christ began meeting as a congregation of 6 families in October 1992.  Since then we have grown to over 80 families.  Our congregation is excited to be serving Colorado Springs showing the love of Jesus Christ.

Leadership

We have five elders leading our congregation, and there are numerous deacons administering various programs and areas of the congregation.  Furthermore, there are many others who serve in various ministry functions.

Our Minister

Our minister is Gordon Shields.  He has over 30 years of preaching and missionary experience, and has been with Mountain View for over 2 years. 

Missions

We currently support mission work in Colorado, the United States, Africa, Central America, and Europe.  Additionally, we send members from our congregation for special mission works locally and abroad. 

Activities

We have many regularly occurring events of interest from young school aged children to our most senior members.   Activities range from monthly pot luck lunches to mission work in foreign countries to replacing light bulbs in our building.  We offer and encourage all who attend to find an area where one can serve and become involved in our exciting work here in Mountain View!
